Light and Location

• Bright sun: Place your plant near a south- or bright east-facing window where it gets several hours of direct sunlight daily.
• Not enough light: Low light stops the plant from growing well and prevents it from flowering.
• Rotation: Turn the pot once a month so all sides get equal light and the plant grows straight.

Water and Soil

• Watering routine: Water thoroughly until liquid flows out of the drainage holes, then empty the saucer so the roots never sit in standing water.
• Soil dryness: Let the top 1 to 2 inches of soil dry out completely before you water again.
• Winter rest: Cut back on watering during the winter months when growth slows down.
• Soil type: Use a rich, well-draining standard potting mix enriched with perlite or organic matter.

Temperature and Feeding

• Warmth: Keep the plant in normal room temperatures between 16°C and 24°C (60°F to 75°F). Avoid temperatures dropping below 10°C (50°F).
• Fertilizer: Feed every two weeks with a balanced houseplant fertilizer during the spring and summer active growth phase. Stop or reduce feeding in fall and winter.
