Care Guide

  • Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light, though it tolerates partial shade (which may slightly slow growth).
  • Watering: Allow the top few inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Use rainwater if possible to prevent brown leaf tips. Reduce watering during the winter.
  • Temperature: Keep in moderate indoor temperatures between 16°C and 24°C, ensuring it stays above 8°C.
  • Feeding: Apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer every 2 to 3 weeks during the active spring and summer growing season.

Growth & Display

  • Habit: Forms a dense, cascading mound with shorter, wider leaves than traditional spider plants. Mature plants send out slender runners with small white flowers and baby plantlets ("spiderettes").
  • Best Uses: Ideal for hanging baskets, shelves, or plant stands where the trailing offsets can dangle freely.
